Lately I find myself watching other people shoot delicious dishes, as I do it before.

With a point and shoot digital camera to its automatic settings when taking food does not look like it makes your mouth water to be successful. Sound tips on the internet about "food photography". Do not use your flash to be slack and take the shots quickly before eating.

These tips should help you to start taking pictures of delicious food. If you have the feeling to need more tips, try these tips below and be on your way to shoot your mouth water images.

Simple settings and props

The first thing is to do what you want to decide on the image. Reduce some other effects to the stage to the center of attention to detail, click on the highlight.

If it's the swirl of chocolate surreptitiousness view you want, then let the chocolate take the frame. Move back a little if it would be the table that it is in the picture function, you do not want the attention placed on making the curve of the chair or the beautiful napkin.

It is only normal that courts, flat wares, flowers, linen included in the intake of food. It is not just right, all this disorder belong within the framework, if your goal is to concentrate on the food.

It's a good idea to arrange the table nicely, because this is where the food is placed, but if it is done too, or be decorated, you fail, put the focus on the food.

Shooting Angle

The right angle in shooting the food is one of the important details you need to remember when shooting. Most of the time food photos are taken at 45 degrees below the plate. This angle is very ideal because it has the same angle of people when they see the food and eat.

This is what I do, shoot 45 degrees, but it is always better to explore more. You may also find other angles that are so good.

There are foods that are best taken on the side of the bowl. The staple foods are best photographed from the side to emphasize the amount of food, like pancakes dripping with syrup on the side. A sense of movement is achieved when you tilt the camera a little.

I've used these recordings many times with casting or how-tos in the kitchen.

If the food looks too flat and graphic want to shoot from directly above. Foods such as biscuits are best photographed in this way flat and the novel.

There are times when getting to photograph the food to be very close to the real focus should be. Focus A great shots means that you have the right focus, but if you put the lens too close to the plate, you will create a blur image.

Set the camera to macro mode if you have a point - and - shoot. . It is important to know all the functions of the camera is able to use them effectively and correctly, as the limits of the lens. Familiarize yourself with the focal length of your lenses with the digital SLR camera. Sometimes you get a blurry image if you try to fill the entire frame.

In shooting the uneven and soft shapes of foods, it is better to use the manual focus as the auto-focus, which is not really effective when it comes to this type of food.

Lighting

Another very important factor in coming up with great pictures, the lighting, of course.

Minimal lighting is always there to bring the natural beauty of the main theme. The minimal lighting also helps in hiding the items in the background, not as attractive. The difference between the use of side and black with a flash of light and the front has come the natural color and shape of the image. The image is flat and lifeless when the flash is used.

The best light is to use natural light when photographing food, the food near the window and use the natural light. If the light from the window to feel light, cover it with a cloth, or search for a different window that is not too bright.

You may need to leave a small amount of bounce light from the subject, so you do not end up with a silhouette image when all you have is the light from the side and back. better you can drape a white napkin on a glass or polystyrene. Place it between the subject and the camera, but from the context.

Use a tripod

It is always best to use a tripod to capture the right angle and focus the camera on the main subject. It keeps the camera from shaking. Increase the ISO of the camera, if you do not have a tripod for you to be able to hold the camera securely.

White Balance

One of the most common and biggest problems novice photographers face is cast. This actually very easy to solve. Set the white balance in the camera or even better with the yellow glow for a few pictures. Change the automatic white balance to one of the situational settings in your camera as cloudy or sunny day.

You can select the manual white balance if you want. You shoot things with neutral colors like a white napkin or the gray floor, then set the camera tom white balance while focusing on the same topics. In this way you will know when you are a neutral color in every shot.
